A prime example of koicha (thick tea), this matcha offers a rich umami and elegant sweetness that spreads smoothly, characteristic of high-grade tea leaves. The more carefully it is kneaded, the deeper its flavor becomes, and its lingering aftertaste elevates the dignity of any tea ceremony. Loved by tea masters, this exquisite item is also perfect for celebratory gifts.

Storage Method
Product Characteristics Matcha is a fine powder, easily affected by light, oxygen, humidity, heat, and surrounding odors. Its color (green) fades quickly, and its flavor and aroma deteriorate rapidly. To maintain quality, "light shielding," "airtightness," "low temperature and low humidity," and an "odor-free environment" are key.
Appropriate Container An opaque, airtight container (screw-top can + inner lid) is recommended. Handle quickly to avoid letting in too much outside air when opening and closing, and never insert a damp chashaku (tea scoop) or spoon. Preparing a separate "working can" (around 20-30g) for daily use allows you to transfer only the amount needed, minimizing deterioration of the main can.
Temperature / Humidity Unopened: Refrigeration (5-10℃) is standard. Freezing is also possible for long-term storage.
After opening: Refrigerated storage is recommended. If opened immediately after taking it out, condensation can moisten the powder. Therefore, keep it sealed and let it sit at room temperature for 1-2 hours until the can's surface temperature matches the room temperature before opening.
Humidity: Low humidity (target below 60%). Since odors can easily transfer in refrigerators, take measures against odor with double sealing (aluminum bag + can) or a zipper bag + can. Avoid proximity to strongly scented foods (pickles, spices, etc.).
Best Before Best consumed within 10-14 days after opening, and definitely within 3-4 weeks. If purchasing in bulk, divide into smaller portions, only access the working can, and keep the remainder sealed and refrigerated (or frozen). When using frozen portions, always prevent condensation (open only after returning to room temperature).
Expiration Date Indicated on each product package

※ Please consume as soon as possible after opening. Flavor changes may occur depending on storage conditions.
