Storage Method
Product Characteristics Matcha is a fine powder, so it is susceptible to light, oxygen, humidity, heat, and surrounding odors, causing its color (green) to fade and its flavor to diminish quickly. Key factors for maintaining quality are "light-shielding," "airtightness," "low temperature and low humidity," and an "odor-free environment."
Suitable Container An opaque, airtight container (screw-top can with an inner lid) is recommended. Handle quickly to avoid letting in too much outside air when opening and closing, and never insert a damp tea scoop or spoon. By preparing a separate "working can" (approx. 20-30g) for transferring only the amount you need, you can minimize deterioration of the main can.
Temperature / Humidity Unopened: Refrigeration (5-10°C) is standard. Freezing is also possible for long-term storage.
After opening: Refrigerated storage is safe. If opened immediately after taking it out, condensation may cause the powder to become damp, so keep it sealed and let it sit at room temperature for 1-2 hours until the can's surface temperature matches the room temperature before opening.
Humidity: Low humidity (目安60% or less). Odor transfer can easily occur in refrigerators, so take measures against odors by using double sealing (aluminum bag + can) or a zipper bag + can. Avoid proximity to strong-smelling foods (pickles, spices, etc.).
Best Before Best within 10-14 days after opening, and consume within 3-4 weeks at the latest. If purchasing in bulk, divide into smaller portions, only access the working can, and keep the remainder sealed and refrigerated (or frozen). When using frozen portions, always prevent condensation (by returning to room temperature before opening).
Expiration Date Stated on each product's packaging

※ Please consume as soon as possible after opening. Flavor changes may occur depending on storage conditions.
